How GreeceTolls verifies toll data

Every figure on GreeceTolls is traceable to a named source and a verification date. This page explains how the Greece data is collected, checked, and kept current.

Where the data comes from

Greek fares come from the concessionaires' own published price pages — Attiki Odos, Aegean Motorway, Olympia Odos, Nea Odos, Kentriki Odos, Moreas, Egnatia Odos and GEFYRA (the Rio–Antirrio bridge) — together with HELLASTRON, the association of Greek toll-road operators, and ministry notices. Each figure carries the category and the operator table it was read from.

We prefer the operator's own tariff table, fare search tool, or official notice. Community map data (OpenStreetMap) is used only to describe a road's geometry and length, never to price it. When no official figure exists we do not publish a price.

What "last verified" means

The date shown next to a price is the last day we compared it with its source. The whole dataset carries its own version date, currently 2026-08-23, shown on the home page. Prices are not adjusted for inflation, discounts, or time of day unless the source publishes those variants.

Vehicle classes

Operators use different category systems. The calculator maps them to four buckets: motorcycle, car, light truck, and heavy truck. The country guide explains the mapping for Greece, and when a source publishes only one class we show only that class rather than extrapolating the others.

What we never do

Four rules apply to every page:

  • Invent or interpolate a price where the operator publishes none.
  • Copy figures from other calculators, forums, or social media.
  • Show an amount without a source and a date.
  • Hide that an amount is an estimate rather than an official quote.

Coverage today

GreeceTolls publishes 3 toll roads with sourced details, 13 route estimates, and 5 editorial guides for Greece. Roads and routes without a sourced figure are kept out of search engines until one exists.

Corrections and independence

Report errors through the contact page (contact@greecetolls.com). We check the report against the official source and update both the figure and its verification date.
